Bonnet cleaning uses a circular pad known as a bonnet to clean the carpet. It is primarily used for low-pile carpeting. Where it can be effective, fast, and inexpensive.

A bonnet cleaning machine equipped with an attached absorbent pad will then be used to work this cleansing solution into the carpet, forcing hidden dirt and greasy residue up and out of the fibers. The machine is manipulated across the carpet, allowing the attached absorbent pad to move in a circular fashion. The absorbent pad works to effectively wipe up the dissolved dirt and residue, producing well-cleaned and odor-free carpeting.
